I’m a queer, neurodivergent sci-fi nerd living in central Arkansas with my wife, two dogs, and cat. I’m also a shoulder season hiker and aspiring solo backpacker. This blog is my way to document the journey from weekend short hiker to section backpacker. I do not have a thru hiking goal, but I would like to section hike the Ouachita Trail, and maybe one day, the Ozark Trail. My first multi-night goal will be a section of the Ouachita trail, I just haven’t decided which section!
